The United Karate Federation of California was established in 1986 as a charitable public benefit non-profit corporation. The fund raising activities have generated revenue to help pay for karate athletes' tournament registration and travel expenses. The UKFC provides scholarships in the form of low cost karate classes for children attending Dublin Elementary schools.
